After posting an 11-0 record at the University of Alberta, Cochrane goaltender Kirsten Chamberlin has received an invite to Program of Excellence goaltending camp on June 6 to 8 in Calgary.

The St. Timothy Thunder had a successful showing at the City Championships.

Bocce ball is back in Cochrane for its fourth season at the Bow Rivers Edge Campground. The league was originally supposed to get underway on May 1, but due to snow it was delayed to May 9. The league will run every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Cochrane Cobras star quarterback Xavier Vaillancourt is hitting the big stage. The soon-to-be Grade 12 athlete has been one of the 73 players selected to suit up in the Canadian Football Chat (CFC) Prospect Game June 1 at TD Place Stadium in Ottawa.

Cochranite and Edge School Bantam Prep Mountaineers defenceman Josh Mettimano was selected in the eighth round (156th overall) by the Winnipeg ICE in the Western Hockey League's (WHL) Bantam Draft on May 2.
