NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Steve Sidwell, who coached the famed “Dome Patrol” linebacker group and help construct some of the top defenses in franchise history, has died at age 78.

Betty Tyson, a woman who spent 25 years in prison for a 1973 murder until being exonerated on the basis of new evidence, has died in upstate New York, her sister said Wednesday. Tyson, 75, died at a Rochester hospital on Aug.

HOUSTON (AP) — Reggie Chaney, a forward who was part of Houston’s Final Four team in 2021, has died. He was 23.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — John Warnock, who helped invent the PDF and co-founded Adobe Systems, has died. He was 82. The Silicon Valley entrepreneur and computer scientist died Saturday surrounded by family, Adobe said in a statement.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Cave Rock, runner-up in last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile and trained by Bob Baffert, has died from complications of laminitis that developed after surgery in July.

TORONTO — Phil Lind, who helped build Rogers Communications Inc. as an executive and board member, died Sunday on his 80th birthday.

ATLANTA (AP) — Maxie Baughan, a College Football Hall of Famer from Georgia Tech and a nine-time Pro Bowler in the NFL, has died. He was 85. The Philadelphia Eagles said Baughan died Saturday of natural causes at his home in Ithaca, New York.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Ron Cephas Jones, a veteran stage actor who won two Emmy Awards for his role as a long-lost father who finds redemption on the NBC television drama series “This Is Us,” has died at age 66, a representative said Saturday.

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Howard Hubbard, a retired Catholic bishop who acknowledged covering up allegations of sexual abuse in his upstate New York diocese and recently married a woman in a civil ceremony, has died after suffering from a massive stroke.
