Marcel Yurchak, beloved husband of Barb Yurchak (nee Nicoll) of Cochrane, AB, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the age of 59 years, after a courageous battle with MS.
Marcel spent his career in the Oil & Gas industry that took him all over the world, the last being in Colombia, teaching the Colombians to drill for oil and gas. He married the love of his life, Barb, in 1987. His favourite times were just spending time and holidays with Barb and his family: his sons, Blaine (Carmen) and Barry (Tammy) and his grandchildren, Wyatt and Koda, and Andrea and Steven.
His very favourite spot to be was St. George, Utah in the red mountains where he and Barb bought a vacation home. He would love for the family and their close friends to visit them there.
Marcel leaves behind his family and friends and his best furry friend Nevada, who misses him deeply.
A Celebration of Marcel’s Life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marcel’s honour made be made directly to the Cochrane Humane Society or the Cochrane Food Bank.
In living memory of Marcel Yurchak, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
