Dear editor,
I would like to congratulate Cochrane Town council members' recent commitment to address seniors’ issues via the Age-Friendly project. It took a while, but I’m glad to hear that serious attention is now being given to the needs of local seniors.
There is a little bit of a contradiction in this announcement for me, as some of the decisions from this council up until this point have been problematic for seniors.
I personally think that there are many ways to assist seniors in both living longer in their homes but in other areas as well. I would urge council to listen to seniors in the age-friendly project. Seniors are the experts in what they need, and all they need to do is ask, or listen.
Regards
Dan Cunin
