It is outrageous that Danielle Smith would decide to charge for COVID-19 vaccines making them less accessible to seniors and subsequently all Albertans.
Almost 3,000 Albertans have died from COVID complications this past year with over 25,000 hospitalizations, if my information is correct.
The mistakes the Smith government has made with measles vaccination awareness and mandates that children be inoculated will result in a child dying on their watch. That is on them.
Why is Smith penalizing Albertans with what amounts to nothing more than a tax on healthcare? Vulnerable cohorts benefit from these injections and should not be forced to pay out of pocket. This would save the Province millions of dollars in hospital stays alone.
When Smith campaigned for office she promised no Albertan would have to pay for healthcare services.
Why has she put Albertans at risk for her own personal agenda to satisfy the anti-vaxx community?
Letters to Smith's office go unanswered so I am asking publicly why she has levied a de facto tax on Albertans, and set up Alberta Heath Services for an influx of COVID-19 cases at a heavy cost to all Albertans?
