The Stoney Nation is comprised of the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Wesley First Nations. Each band is represented by a chief and council. With a population of more than 1,800 people, the Bearspaw First Nation is the largest band in the Stoney community.

The Texas Gate Bar & Grill saw its first two performances for its battle of the bands competition on May 15. Winners from the competition will go on to open for Blake Mathews at the upcoming Cochrane Boots for Roots Barn Dance on June 25.

Regular programming will continue at Seniors on the Bow (SOTB) through until the end of May and most of June. A few extra events happen before the end of May. On May 20 at 2 p.m. the second session of Improvisation Games is planned.
