RCMP on the hunt for armed men

On Friday, June 1, 2018 shortly after 9:30 a.m., a resident of a home in the Bearspaw community of Rocky View County near Cochrane, Alberta reported to RCMP Cochrane that three assailants forcibly entered his home.

On Friday, June 1, 2018 shortly after 9:30 a.m., a resident of a home in the Bearspaw community of Rocky View County near Cochrane, Alberta reported to RCMP Cochrane that three assailants forcibly entered his home. Two of the assailants were masked and armed with firearms. The third assailant was not masked and apparently unarmed. The resident reported startling the intruders, who promptly fled in a motor vehicle which had been parked outside the home. No one was injured in this event and nothing was apparently stolen. The three assailants are described as follows: #1 Caucasian male, 180cm (6') thin build, wearing all black, and masked with an off-white balaclava with "skeleton teeth" and brandishing a handgun. #2 Caucasian male 170cm (5'6") thin build, wearing all black with black balaclava, carrying a long gun, possibly a shotgun #3 Caucasian female 166cm (5'5"), very thin build, brown hair in a pony tail, black windbreaker jacket, not visibly armed. Vehicle is described as a beige or grey Toyota hatchback, possibly a Matrix. RCMP Forensic Identification Services attended and processed the scene. RCMP General Investigation Services, Crime Reduction Unit and Detachment personnel are investigating at this time. This investigation is in the preliminary stages and further updates will be disseminated as details become available. Police have not yet determined if this was a random attack.
