There will be police presence at Cochrane High School today after a threatening note was found on a bathroom stall at the school.

At approximately 4 a.m., today, Monday, May 6, 2019, police located the bodies of a woman and child, believed to be that of Jasmine Lovett and her daughter Aliyah Sanderson, 22 months, in Kananaskis.

STONEY NAKODA –Cochrane RCMP arrested and charged three people after a tip from a local security company led to a vehicle chase on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation last Thursday (April 25).

On April 23 around 7 p.m., residents of Ghost Lake Village near Cochrane identified a suspicious male pulling a cart filled with property and wearing distinctive clothing.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Cochrane RCMP attempted a stop with a suspicious truck near Morley. The truck fled police and later collided head-on with a nearby Alberta Sheriff vehicle. The Alberta Sheriff did not sustain serious injuries.

Typically fingerprints help crack a case, but for Canmore RCMP it was footprints that led to an arrest on Feb. 25.

A road rage incident-turned-fender-bender ended with a 40-year-old man punching and kicking a woman. On Jan. 10, a man driving an SUV began flashing his brights at a woman's vehicle in an apparent signal that she should turn off her high beams.
