A pick up truck collided with a Southland school bus just after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Cst. Sabrina d'Anjou, an RCMP officer on the scene said a truck drove through a red light at the intersection of Centre Avenue and First Street. There we no children on the bus at the time. The truck sustained major damage on the front end. "The vehicle here is probably a total loss," d'Anjou said. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. The bus driver, an 84-year-old from Airdrie, is reportedly unharmed and the damage to the bus is unknown but likely minor.
