As of Thursday, Aug. 21, the Bragg Creek wastewater system is back to normal operating levels.
"Thanks to your water conservation efforts, ongoing system monitoring, and the work of our crews, the system has had the time it needed to fully recover," Rocky View County (RVC) shared in a statement.
Although the situation is back to normal, RVC still encourages residents to increase their water use gradually to help prevent any sudden surges on the system.
The Bragg Creek wastewater system experienced higher than normal flows in July, prompting RVC to ask for residents to help reduce pressure on the system on Thursday, July 24, by limiting water use as much as possible.
Unusually heavy rains have been cited as the cause for the higher than normal flows.
"Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and commitment to being responsible water stewards during this period of high water conditions," RVC added. "Your collective effort helped make this recovery possible."
