UPDATE: Cochrane RCMP advise the semi and trailer have been removed. The Highway is now clear and all lanes have re-opened.
ORIGINAL STORY: Cochrane RCMP would like to advise that there is a tractor trailer blocking the eastbound Highway 1 lane, about one kilometre west of Stoney Nakoda Nation. According to RCMP, eastbound traffic along the highway is currently reduced to one lane.
"Officers will remain on scene redirecting traffic and expect the delays to continue until the tractor trailer is removed," the detachment stated in a press release. "It is recommended that drivers bypass the area using the Mînî Thnî road exit or avoid the area until it can be cleared."
An update will be sent when the road is clear.
