Lace up your runners, Hues for Humanity is once again hosting The Colour Run on Saturday, May 31, in Harmony.
Participants are invited to run or walk five kilometres on trails around the Rocky View County subdivision.
Hues for Humanity is a registered Canadian charity and a way to support programs for at-risk children in developing nations.
One hundred per cent of the profits earned from these events are used to support education, health, and empowerment initiatives around the world.
Each year, Real Humanitarian provides educational, medical, and social-emotional support to over 1,000 children.
Deborah Northcott, director and co-founder of the hosting organization, Real Humanitarian, said the run has taken place in Harmony for the past four years.
There is a $50 entrance fee for team members, $55 for solo runners, and $40 for youth. Children are free.
Each registration comes with a t-shirt, colour packets, and a swag bag.
"Along the way, colour stations hosted by local businesses toss colour powder at participants, so after their complete walk/run, they are covered in different colours," Northcott explained.
Check in begins at 9:30 a.m, with the colour toss and race beginning at 10 a.m.
The starting line and run set-up will be located at 1630 Harmony Circle.

"Truly, the event is worth while participating in - offering a positive community experience, while helping others who cannot help themselves," Northcott added.
