Rocky View County council reviewed and approved a service plan to address the 2016 audit.

Hoping to provide residents of Rocky View County with more transparency and an improvement in customer service, new changes have been made regarding the municipality’s development permit notification process.

A news release from Rocky View County (RVC) stated that through the gathering of feedback from residents, as well as strategic planning reviews, RVC has improved their development permit notification process.

These changes will make it so the process is more clear to the public, and will provide an increased level of access to information for residents to attain documents that discuss the decisions around developmental permits.

According to the news release, since May 30, the County has provided copies of all development permit Notice of Decisions for approvals within the appeal period on the County website, rockyview.ca, making it open and accessible for all.

The County will also continue to seek ways to offer more thorough access to the planning application and development applications before any finalized decisions are made on the files, according to the news release.

In wanting to ensure RVC council’s strategic objective of increasing transparency and communication with residents, the County is looking to provide a more positive customer service experience
