Albertans are rising to the challenge of COVID-19 by doing what are province does best—Innovation.

"This is an unprecedented time and the Vancouver Aquarium is in real peril."

We can view COVID-19 as a transformative time in which, with the fruits of resilience (compassion, patience, perseverance and reverence), we can develop into a better version of ourselves.

“As we work through this pandemic we need to continue to have a focus on not just what our current state is, because I think we’re doing a good job of flattening the curve and staying home, being kind and saving lives, but I would like us to start to focus on our future,” Genung said. “There will be a day when we get through this.”

“We don’t yet know when the pandemic will end or when we will be able to start easing up on economic and social restrictions need to contain the virus,” Premier Jason Kenney said. “In the meantime and over the long term let me tell you this for certain—Alberta is there for you.”

“Experts anticipate substantial business closures and employee terminations across the industry if businesses are not provided with financial support to stay open and retain staff this summer and beyond."
