Residents packed Weedon Pioneer Community Hall last week to voice concerns about the proposed Cochrane North development.

Eighty-seven year old Bragg Creek resident Siegfried Beckedorf has written and published his first book. Titled Diamonds Everywhere, the book is about Beckedorf's life with his late wife, Ursula, whom the book is in honour of.

Cochranite Aaron Lauritsen will spend the next couple of months competing to be Canada's Greatest Explorer on the Woods ™ Canada reality challenge. Lauritsen was recruited to the show following an online voting period from April 29 to May 11.
