The Cochrane Tourism Association is pumping the tires of motorcycle enthusiasts in an attempt to establish the town as a start and end point for road trips, hoping bikers will inject some cash into local businesses before and after they ride.

Jenna Leblanc has brought her love of grasslands and Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park together as she pursues her PhD. Leblanc grew up in Calgary and worked a summer job at Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation.

When reached for comment on the release of the growth plan, RVC stated the municipality will be providing a public update to council in September. At that time, council will address how the growth plan might affect the county. 

Local wrestler Nicholas Hooper called the gold medal one of the highlights of his wrestling career to date.

“I’m so pleased because this has re-ignited my love for teaching. This is the heart of teaching,” she said.

“This is something big, this is for our people and I hope that it will bring awareness to the drug crisis that we’re in – it’s ongoing and it’s an epidemic,” said Twoyoungmen, a member of the Stoney Nakoda First Nation Chiniki band. “The drug crisis itself is wiping out our people. It’s taking our youth a lot more than we could have ever expected and a lot faster, and it’s taking our older generation, too, before we even get a chance to try and heal their traumas.”
