COCHRANE— The number of active COVID-19 cases in Cochrane has dropped below 40.
As of Monday (Jan. 18), there were a reported 38 cases of the virus in Cochrane. To date, 302 cases have been reported in the town. A total of 263 people have recovered and one person has died.
In Alberta, 456 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified after the completion of 8,258 tests.
The provincial positivity rate currently sits at 5.6 per cent.
There are 740 hospitalized due to the virus, including 119 in intensive care.
There were an additional 17 COVID-related deaths reported. To date, 1,463 people have died.
There are currently 11,096 active cases of the virus in Alberta.
