Pet owners in town will be receiving their annual renewal notices in the mail this month, to ensure that their animal licence accounts are up-to-date.

Registered owners can complete their renewal process online by visiting Cochrane.ca/eservices or in-person by visiting the Station at Cochrane Crossing or the Cochrane RancheHouse.

Animal Bylaw 04/2016 requires all dogs and cats over the age of three months to be licensed and renewed annually.

Executive director of corporate services for The Town of Cochrane, Stacy Loe, said animal licensing is part of responsible pet ownership in the community.

“Animal licences not only enable Animal Services to swiftly reconnect you with your beloved pet in the case they go missing, but also signals to others that your furry companion is cherished and belongs to a loving home, fostering a community of care and responsibility," Loe said.

Pet owners can renew or register a licence online using Cochrane’s eServices Portal. Any unpaid animal licences will be discontinued on Mar. 8, 2024.

For more information on registration, renewals, payment, or due dates, please visit Cochrane.ca/animalservices. Applicable residents who have not received their notices are asked to call 403-851-2528.
