Cochrane's 10th annual Job Fair will attract between 200-300 job seekers together under one roof on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lion's Event Centre.

Each organization in attendance is provided with a table and chairs with enough space to share information, post company information and current job openings. Company representatives will collect resumes, screen candidates, answer questions and even conduct short interviews. Some employers have been known to make hiring decisions at the fair.

"The town puts a lot of work into making the Job Fair a valuable experience for local employers," says Mike Korman, Cochrane's Economic Development manager.

"We support local businesses because we know a thriving local economy is good for the community in general, as well as business owners and employees."

Even companies that don't have current job openings can benefit from participating. The fair can provide them with valuable insight into the talent pool in Cochrane and gives them the opportunity to promote their organization.

The Job Fair is free to participate in and is presented by the Town of Cochrane Economic Development as part of its support of local business.
