COVID-19 is making those who have birthdays celebrate them in a different manner this year.
On Saturday April 4, the parents of a five year old girl reached out to Cochrane RCMP for some assistance in celebrating her milestone day. After receiving the call, Cpl. Richter and fellow officers were quick to jump on board "operation birthday" and showed off their creative talents by making the little girl a poster and collecting other items.
Minding their social distancing, the officers then paid the birthday girl a visit leaving her with a permanent smile etched on her face. Despite the circumstances, it's safe to say Ava's fifth birthday will be one of her most memorable.
Another example of how our community is coming together to make the best out of unfortunate times.
