A special blood donor clinic is set to run in the memory of Mike Bigland, the much-beloved Cochranite, family man, hockey coach and business owner.
Bigland, who passed away April 21, benefitted from blood donations prior to his death. According to a media release, his family requests friends, family and residents donate blood in Bigland’s honour in the hope that a life can be saved.
Canadian Blood Services said it takes five donors to help a person in cancer treatment.
The clinic will run from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 4th, at the Cochrane RancheHouse.
