Centrica paid it forward to two community causes last week, handing out $6,000 split between the Acitvettes Share Your Christmas campaign and Seniors for Kids.

The $3,000 given to Activettes will put the money toward the $95,000 cost to run its annual Christmas program, which provides food hampers to needy families. The Activettes have run the Share your Christmas hamper program for the past 37 years.

Centrica also gave $3,000 to the Seniors for Kids Society, which will be used for program delivery. Seniors For Kids is an intergenerational program that matches student with “grandparent” mentors.
