Cochrane’s public transit users celebrated the launch of a transit service integration between Cochrane On-Demand Local Transit (COLT) and SOUTHLAND’s enhanced regional On-It service on Aug. 29.

The service will offer regular routes between Cochrane and Calgary that will offer convenient transit options to help meet the needs of people who travel between the two communities for work, school, or other activities.

Transit riders can commute between Cochrane and Calgary via two routes that operate during the week. The first will send commuters from The Station in Cochrane to the Brentwood LRT Station/University of Calgary seven times a day, while the second will send commuters from The Station to downtown Calgary.

The fare for a one-way trip for either route is $10. 10 and 20-ticket packs are $80 and $150 respectively. Monthly passes for downtown Calgary and Brentwood are $215 and $270.

To celebrate the regional service’s launch, SOUTHLAND is offering free On-It service Aug. 29 and 30 through the promo code “On-It” that can be redeemed through the Ride COLT app or webpage.
