Cochrane Foundation awards $95,412 at 2025 Granting Ceremony

The Cochrane Foundation provided 19 local organizations and six students with a combined $95,412 of capital grants and scholarships on Mar. 25.

The Cochrane Foundation hosted their 2025 Granting Ceremony on March 25, which awarded a combined $89,412 in capital grants to 19 organizations in Cochrane. Additionally, six students were each awarded $1,000 through the McQuitty Scholarship, bringing the grand total of distributed funds to $95,412.

This years recipients included; The Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation, the Beaupre Community Association, Bethany Care Foundation, BGC Cochrane and Area, Bike Cochrane, Cochrane Art Club, Cochrane and District Agrictulture Society, Cochrane Lions Club, Cochrane and Area Humane Society, Cochrane Piranhas Summer Swim Club, Iyahrhe Nakoda Food Bank Society, Friends of Glenbow, Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation, Jensen Ranch Rescue Society, Lindsay Leigh Kismet Memorial Foundation, Route 22 Artist Collective, Seniors for Kids Society, Spray Lake Sawmills Recreation Park Society, and STARS.

Since 1993, the Chochrane Foundation helped fund 105 local organizations through grants and scholarships. Approximately $1.3 million has been invested back into Cochrane and area.
