The struggles of managing regional growth in the Calgary region will be on the table at Cochrane Ideas' latest instalment.

Leading the discussion will be Bob Miller, a retired urban and regional growth planner for more than 40 years with the City of Calgary.

"Managing growth at the regional scale is not for the faint of heart," said Miller. Miller lives at the Ghost Lake Summer Village full time.

The topic can cause tensions to arise from the desires for local autonomy and the needs of a broader, shared interests between Calgary and Cochrane and area, says the group.

The group will be meeting Friday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. at the King Solomon Lodge. Everyone is welcome. While the event is free of charge, small donations are accepted to cover expenses. For more information visit their website at: www.cochraneideasgroup.ca
