CANCELLATIONS EXTENDED
The Town of Cochrane has increased its cancellation of events until July 2, 2020. Previously the restrictions in place were set for June 1, but as the Town continues to align its COVID-19 response with provincial and federal policies it has been changed. The extensions also adhere to updates from provincial authorities, restrictions on public gatherings and recommendations for physical distancing. This extension will impact well-known events such as the Farmer's Market, garage sales, neighbourhood gatherings and others. All events scheduled to take place in Town parks, fields and buildings have been cancelled. Traditional Canada Day celebrations will also have to be celebrated virtually this year.
ROCKY VIEW COUNTY ASKS PEOPLE TO STAY HOME
Rocky View County will be stringently following social distancing practices and following public health restrictions on group gatherings and parking during the warmer weather brought on by spring. The county will be strictly enforcing no-parking areas within the Bragg Creek area. Violators of these measures may be subject to a $243 fine. As well, automobile access points to provincial parks and recreation areas continue to be temporarily suspended.
