Cochrane RCMP seek to identify Ridge View Green vehicle theft suspects

Two male suspects stole a vehicle and several items from other vehicles in the Ridge View Green area last night around 2 a.m.

Cochrane RCMP are seeking the public's assistance to identify two male suspects who stole a vehicle from the Ridge View Green area around 2 a.m. on April 7.

Authorities were alerted to the theft and responded at 5:30 a.m., according to a Cochrane RCMP press release. Further investigation determined the suspects arrived to the area in a white Jeep Cherokee and that they began checking car doors.

The two suspects stole a car from the street and a variety of items including cash, sunglasses and a wallet from other vehicles. 

According to RCMP, the two male suspects entered a local business a short time later and attempted to use a credit card that was stolen from one of the vehicles. 

The first of the two suspects is described as being approximately 5'9" with a light complexion and slim build. He was seen wearing a black Puma hat, grey jacket, black hoody with a silver zipper and black pants.

The second suspect is described as being approximately 6'0, with brown hair, a light complexion and heavy build. He also has a half sleeve of tattoos on both arms and was seen wearing a black face mask, a bright blue shirt, dark coloured pants, and black shoes.

As Cochrane RCMP continue to investigate this incident, they are asking that anyone in the area of Ridge View Green with a doorbell camera or dash cam footage on April 7 between 1:50 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. to contact RCMP at 403-851-8000.
