Cochrane residents looking to host neighbourhood gatherings this summer can once again turn to a familiar favourite—the Block Party Trailer, relaunched by Cochrane Family and Community Support Services (FCSS).
Packed with tables, chairs, outdoor games, signage, a cooking griddle, invitations, and event-planning instructions, the trailer makes organizing a community get-together simple and fun.
“We are so thrilled to bring this program back to the community, as it’s a great resource for building relationships and fostering strong community connection,” said Kim Krawec, FCSS manager. “The Block Party Trailer is a fantastic tool for residents looking to plan their next community event.”
The program is part of FCSS’s broader commitment to supporting a more connected and inclusive Cochrane. By providing everything needed for a backyard or block event, the trailer encourages neighbours to come together, deepen social ties and create lasting memories.
The mobile unit is available now through Oct. 13, with bookings accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
