Cochranites, bring your appetite as Cochrane Food Fest returns Sunday, August 10 with its biggest celebration to date, marking five delicious years of community, cuisine, and quirky fun.
This year’s milestone event will showcase over 30 food vendors, all serving up sample-sized eats for $10 or less. From street eats and sweet treats to globally inspired dishes and local favourites, the variety is set to impress.
“We’re so proud to be celebrating five years of Cochrane Food Fest,” said Kailey Mitchell, CEO of Quirk Social. “This event continues to grow thanks to the support of our community, and we’re excited to bring new energy and fun activations to this year’s festival.”
Attendees can expect a lineup that includes crowd-pleasers like Neapolitan Express, Fantasy Pretzels, Ice Ice Baby, and Little Valley Bagel Co., alongside many others.
But it’s not just about the food as new activities and contests will keep visitors entertained all day long. Highlights include:
- Lettuce-eating competition
- Potato sack races
- The Human Slot Machine
- Guess the Timbit Count challenge
- Local Brew Happy Hour
And while you're tasting your way through the festival, enjoy live music from local talents including Anna Lewis, Noel Johnson, and Turner Bates.

- 12:00 PM – Gates Open

- 3:30 PM – Lettuce-Eating Competition
- 5:00 PM – Turner Bates + Local Brew Happy Hour ($5 drinks until 6 PM)
- 6:00 PM – Free Entry (Last Hour) + Mock Food Fight
The festival takes place at the Cochrane Agricultural Society Grounds and runs from Noon to 7 p.m. Entry is $2 per person or $5 per family.
