Cochrane RCMP charged two people last Friday after a number of fraud complaints.
Kristin Stevenson, 30, and Taylor Irvine, 34, were both charged with three counts of Fraud under $5,000 and one count of Theft under $5,000 for an incident that has been under investigation since July. Irvine was also charged with assault.
The pair used a stolen credit card to obtain merchandise from various businesses around Cochrane. The two were located at one of the businesses and arrested without incident.
Irvine is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 4 and Stevenson remains in custody to appear in court in Aug. 26.
