The G7 Information Centre opened in Mînî Thnî at the Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino to help answer questions about the upcoming summit will close on Monday, June 9.
According to the Integrated Safety and Security Group (ISSG) community relations group, an amalgam of various law enforcement, federal and provincial agencies set up to handle logistics and security for the upcoming G7 Leaders' Summit in Kananaskis, Alberta on June 15 to June 17, the task force exists to ensure "open communication and minimize the Summit's impact, we've implemented several initiatives to keep residents and visitors informed and provide avenues for feedback."
"The ISSG and SMO (Summit Management Office) staff would like to thank the hundreds of people who came to visit our centre," the press release reads. "It was our pleasure getting to know the people who make up the Kananaskis and Bow Valley communities, and we are grateful for everyone’s understanding as we host the 2025 G7 Leaders’ Summit in less than 10 days."
