With the incoming Federal Carbon Tax and Alberta provincial fuel tax hikes on April 1, some gas stations in Cochrane have already passed the increase onto consumers.
On Sunday, the average gas price in Cochrane was $1.54 per litre, it is now $1.6299 or $1.627 at five local gas stations. However, three others, Mobil on 5th Ave., Petro Canada on Heartland and Husky on Aarsby, the price is still $1.54 per litre, and it $1.599 at Shell on Big Hill Springs Rd.
