It was a busy Saturday morning (Sept.14) for volunteers and residents helping with the fall food drive.
Surpassing the goal of 1,200 cases, this food drive was one of the best to date thanks to the help of more than 700 volunteers.
A total of 1,500 cases were collected and roughly $2,300 in cash donations all going toward filling the Cochrane Activettes Food Bank and hampers.
This initial count does not include late donations or those that have been dropped off at Safeway, Save-On-Foods and Mark's No Frills.
Save the date, April 25, 2020 at the Cochrane Alliance Church for the next food drive.
