The Cochrane Lioness Club hopes to get Cochranites in the Christmas spirit a bit early this year.
The group will be hosting its Christmas Craft Market Saturday, Nov. 15 at St. Andrews United Church.
“We’re going to have fashion, jewelry, quilting and knitting,” said Yvonne Veldhuis, who is a member of the Lioness Club. “We have quite a variety.”
Veldhuis said the Lioness Club has been around since 1978 and the Christmas Craft Market has been going on for over a decade.
There will be 22 tables at the event and Veldhuis said that nearly all the tables were already rented.
She added that although there would be mostly local vendors at the event there would also be a handful from Calgary and Red Deer.
The event runs from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and is $1 for admission. There will be sandwiches, desserts, coffee and tea available. For more information contact 403-932-2097.
