RCMP has issued a warrant for the arrest of Alvin Blair Lefthand for the offence of aggravated assault, said Cpl. Troy Savinkoff of the Cochrane detachment.
Lefthand, a 23-year-old man from Morley, is alleged to have assaulted a male with a machete June 2. The victim was taken to hospital and treated for injuries, which included a broken arm and a leg laceration.
Police are also on the lookout for young man with a large German Shepherd-type dog after the dog bit a man in the parking lot of the Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre June 5.
The dog was being walked by a Caucasian man about 17 years old, standing around 5-foot-6. He was dressed in a blue T-shirt, baggy, low-rise pants and a ball cap. RCMP say the suspect was driving a white Toyota Tacoma with a unique exhaust system near the passenger side window.
