National Volunteer Week taking place in Cochrane

“This week, we celebrate the volunteers whose empathy, compassion and generosity connect people to the community, contributing to a more vibrant and inclusive space for everyone.”

"Empathy in Action" is this year's theme for National Volunteer Week, which runs from April 24 to 31.

Cochrane's Family and Community Support Services plans to show its appreciation by gifting every active volunteer at various social non-profit organizations.

“Thank you to the incredible volunteers who have selflessly given so much of their time and dedication,” said FCSS manager, Kim Krawec, in a press release. “This week, we celebrate the volunteers whose empathy, compassion and generosity connect people to the community, contributing to a more vibrant and inclusive space for everyone.”

Over 850 hours was contributed by volunteers last year to support FCSS programs and initiatives.
