MP Blake Richards is hosting a series of 2020 pre-budget consultations in Airdrie, Canmore and Cochrane.
Cochrane’s event is the last of the series and will take place Saturday (Jan. 25) at 3:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Cochrane Legion.
Richards hopes the town hall style venue will allow residents the opportunity to provide feedback, concerns and expectations relating to the 2020 Federal Budget. The budget is expected to be delivered sometime next month.
“This feedback will help inform my plans and help shape the issues that I’ll be fighting for when I take our message to Canadians,” said Richards in a press release.
“I’ll also send your feedback to the Liberal government ahead of the 2020 Budget, so that they know exactly what matters to our province and community.”
Richards says 2020 needs to be about getting Albertan’s priorities on the agenda and demanding action on the issues that matter the most to this province.
“We need to send a loud message to Ottawa that the 2020 Budget must work for and include Alberta.”
