Alberta Premier Danielle Smith will be in Cochrane tonight for a members-only United Conservative Party town hall at the Cochrane Lions Event Centre.
The UCP are advertising Smith's visit to Cochrane as an opportunity for party members to hear directly from Premier Smith about the work the party is doing to “protect Alberta’s prosperity, stand up to Ottawa, and deliver results for Albertans,” a party release states.
This is your chance to ask questions, share feedback, and connect with fellow UCP members in your area,” the UCP’s event notice states. The town hall starts at 6:00 pm.
The Airdire-Cochrane constituency is currently represented by Peter Guthrie, an independent and former infrastructure minister in the Smith cabinet who was expelled from the party in April after he was critical of the premier’s handling of a health-care procurement scandal.
