Cochranites are being asked to drop off their Jack-o'-lanterns at the Cochrane Ecological Institute just northwest of town.

Food is scarce this time of year in the bush, so the additional pumpkins are a welcome treat for elk, deer, bears, and other animals.

The CEI just asks that people clean off any paint or glitter before dropping them off at the Happy Trails Pet Retreat (also the CEI) at 51061 Township Road 280.
