Search warrant leads to seized guns in Morley

Complaint leads to multiple arrests for alleged drug trafficking and firearm possession.

Cochrane RCMP seize a number of guns at a residence in Morley on Thursday (May 7).

STONEY NAKODA FIRST NATION— A firearms complaint Thursday led to the arrest of two men in Stoney Nakoda First Nation for the alleged trafficking of methamphetamine and multiple weapons offences.

Cochrane RCMP received a complaint Thursday (May 7) alleging a Morley man was in possession of a firearm.

Upon arriving on the scene, RCMP secured the residence and issued a search warrant. After the execution of the warrant RCMP reported finding multiple firearms and 63 grams of methamphetamine on the premises. 

Two men from Morley have been charged with multiple offences. 

The RCMP charged Carlyle Holloway with 58 different offences including possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, 55 charges of weapon offences and two charges for breaches of conditions.  Carlyle will appear in court on May 12 in Cochrane.

The RCMP charged Tommie Borris Holloway with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and four charges for weapon offences.  Tommie will appear in court on July 21 in Cochrane.

RCMP said two other individuals from Morley are also facing charges, but have since been released.
