The Town of Cochrane is inviting the public to attend the unveiling of three new public art installations at The Station at Cochrane Crossing on Sunday, May 10, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The event marks the culmination of the Cochrane Crossing Civic Plaza Art Project—a community-driven initiative focused on storytelling, belonging and creative expression. The project is part of the Town’s continued effort to create public spaces that reflect Cochrane’s identity, diversity and commitment to cultural inclusion.

“These artworks are more than just additions to public space; they embody who we are and who we’re becoming as a community,” said Michelle Delorme, Director of Parks and Active Living. “They reflect Cochrane’s commitment to collaboration, cultural inclusion, and building a future where every voice contributes to our collective story.”

The event will begin with remarks from Mayor Jeff Genung, followed by the symbolic unveiling of the three new artworks by members of the Arts Task Force.

The featured artists — Karen Ho Fatt, Malann Klassen and Lara Kruger — will share insights into the inspirations and creative processes behind their installations. Following the formal program, they will remain on site to engage with attendees and answer questions.

This free, family-friendly event offers residents a chance to gather, celebrate public art, and experience the vibrant cultural evolution of Cochrane.
