UPDATE: two suspects wanted on warrants arrested, stolen vehicle still missing

Trista Nadene Tinkler and Robert Gordon Daignault were arrested on outstanding warrants in Edmonton on Friday (Jan. 3), but the location of the vehicle - believed to be connected to the homicide victim found near the Springbank Airport - is still unknown.

The vehicle being sought is a bronze 2013 Kia Optima with the Alberta license plate E22149. Police have identified the victim, but are not releasing his name or particulars as the investigation continues.

Tinkler and Daignault were wanted on warrants for possession of property obtained by crime, theft of a credit card and failure to appear in court. Daignault was also wanted on a warrant for resisting or obstructing a police officer.

At 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 29 Cochrane RCMP responded to a report of a deceased man found off a rural road near the Springbank Airport. The Major Crimes Unit South had taken over the investigation and determined the man to be a victim of homicide.
