Cochrane RCMP are reminding drivers to use extreme caution when travelling on area highways.
Rain is freezing on roadways making driving conditions very poor. Several vehicles are in the ditch on Highway 1A east of Cochrane and further collisions have been reported on Highway 8 west of Calgary.
There are no road closures at this time. Drivers are asked to avoid roads unless absolutely necessary.
