Youth recognized as 'Leaders of Tomorrow' at ceremony

Several Cochrane youth were recognized as ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’ during a ceremony April 25 at the Cochrane RancheHouse.

Several Cochrane youth were recognized as ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’ during a ceremony April 25 at the Cochrane RancheHouse.

The event was part of the town’s ongoing effort to shine a light on community volunteers, all during National Volunteer Week (April 21-27).

In total, 24 youth were celebrated, and were joined by Mayor Truper McBride, members of council, CAO Julian deCocq, members of the Cochrane and District Chamber of Commerce, Family and Community Support Services and the Cochrane Youth Association.

Other events to celebrate Cochrane’s volunteers included a volunteer appreciation night on April 20 and Sport 4 Life held a similar event to honour those who helped contribute to community well-being through sport.
