The Cochrane Lions Rodeo Royalty competition is back for its 6th year and is looking for young women to compete in the annual pageant.

You won’t have to trade any magic beans to be a part of the upcoming production with Cochrane Vision Theatre. The theatre group is holding auditions for its upcoming production of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Cochrane’s Ranche Days are happening again this year from Aug. 2 – 3, with activities happening at Cochrane Ranche Historic Site and the Cochrane RancheHouse.

The Calgary Stampede Showband is heading to South America for the World Association of Marching Show Bands 2014 World Championships in Braganca Paulista, Brazil, and three Cochrane residents will be joining the group for the trip.
