Airdrie-Cochrane MLA Peter Guthrie hosted a delicious and delightful Stampede BBQ lunch for members of the community at his constituency office's parking lot on July 14.

Amid a busy summer of back-to-back swim meets taking place nearly every weekend, Preston said the Piranhas athletes are excited to compete in their home pool for a change. 

Calder was scheduled to appear in Wetaskiwin Provincial Court on July 13.

Post-presentation, Coun. Marni Fedeyko said based on the results, additional efforts should be made by the Town to ensure residents are better aware of where their tax dollars are sent.

"The junior girls would love the support, so feel free to drop by at Mitford for a fun-filled Friday night of rugby," Sato said.

“A tool like this could be precedent-setting in the Calgary region,” Boscariol told committee members.

“Tourism, sport and recreation are really important to the Banff-Kananaskis riding and to the province as a whole. I think there’s a lot of room for growth in this critic portfolio.”

Kenny Hunter, one of three band members who filed the claim, said they are still seeking audited financial statements from 2022 – including wages and benefits of staff – plus another independent audit.

According to a statement from RVS confirming the layoffs, when the $318 million operating budget for 2023-24 was approved in May, they recognized cuts were going to be necessary in order to reduce spending on caretaking.
