The Springbank Recycling Depot may soon be on the move again, after Rocky View County (RVC) council approved motions for administration to come up with a plan to deal with the management issues at the current site until it could be moved to the newly

After her March 14 arrest, Dai Shi was released on conditions and is next scheduled to appear on April 4 in Cochrane Provincial Court.

“In that way we create more awareness of the Cochrane Foundation, but also all these different groups in Cochrane with what the other groups are doing,” Harvie said. “It’s quite inspiring, because there’s such a wide variety of need and groups who do good work in Cochrane.” 

“It definitely put a smile on everyone’s face... the kitchen, it’s excellent to see them rewarded,” he said. “The food really pulls people in and keeps them coming back, so to have them rewarded makes everyone a little bit happier."

“It’s a really, really, funky space for art of any kind,” McMahon said. “Julia, who runs the place seems really supportive [for] anything in the vein of presenting arts to people and literature, and that’s right up my alley where my music falls in line with.”

Residents of Rocky View County who live in the areas of Bearspaw, Elbow Valley, and those who fall within Township Road 290, Highway 66, and Range Road 62 are invited and encouraged to attend.

Clint Docken of Bragg Creek Performing Arts called Zadravec “an exceptional singer” and a throwback “to the era when great singers lent their voices to the best material and built careers on these great songs.”

“I think that’ll have a trickle-down effect through the whole club and hopefully inspire others to go and try it out,” Macdonald said. “Competitions aren’t for everyone, but they are a lot of fun."

“We’re very proud of our girls,” Paradis said. “For a lot of them, it was their first year playing basketball and we’re amazed by the girls’ performance as a team."

The program works by pairing participants with trained community volunteers, and helps those residents access necessary and applicable government benefits.
