Come September, friends and former Cochrane Lions football teammates Bennett Fauth and James Drake will don different jerseys – one red and one blue – but first, they’ll play one last game on the gridiron together for Team Alberta

Cochrane-area native and country music crooner George Fox will be inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame this September in Calgary.

After a lengthy WHL campaign, Seattle Thunderbirds player and Cochrane native Tyrel Bauer is heading to Winnipeg later this summer, in hopes of playing for the Jets next season.

Iiqooa, Takao, Kiore, Sylen, Kweeuu, Naqqui and Tuvac are the latest wolfdogs to take up residence at the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, but funding is needed to build the animals two new enclosures, where they will be separated into their packs of four and three.
