The Cochrane High School Psychology Club’s workshop about suicide awareness and prevention was a success. Taking place Nov. 18 in the school gym, more than 100 people participated in the student-run workshop from noon-3:30 pm.

The Cochrane RCMP are currently seeking public assistance for information about a break and enter in the Ghost Lake area earlier this year. Between May 10-18, a cabin located on the north side of Ghost Lake was the target of intentional mischief.

Since September, Rock the Waves has received many donations from various organizations putting the campaign at close to half of their fundraising goal. Rock the Waves fundraising goal is set at $10.

For the past five months, 36-year-old Calgarian Luke Materi has been working on Winterfell, an unique art project consisting of a castle and village made of rock structures along the banks of the Elbow River in Bragg Creek.

Onward and upward. Cochrane High School Cobras football team booked their place in the Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association (ASAA) Tier 3 Provincial Championship game with a convincing 41-17 victory over Rundle College Cobras on Nov.

The 2nd Annual Bearspaw Christmas Market goes Nov. 28 at the RockPointe Church. The event, organized by Crazy4Crafts, will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the church located at 255024 Lochend Rd. off Highway 1A.
