"Another thing I think is the people I've met, a number of people from Cochrane and Calgary who come out year, after year to support this event."

"I think we were pretty good for the most part (in the first half)," Garber said. "A little bit inconsistent here and there but after starting off 1-3, we went into Christmas with a 17-8-2 record. I think that's pretty respectable."

"Going into high school I had no idea that I would be playing football," Bell said. "Then when I became a starter, I had no idea I'd get the opportunity to play university football. I love the sport, I'm very competitive and I am thankful that I had the opportunity and the coaching to get to where I got to."

"Those 20 teams can kind of fall into any of those four categories. We don't necessarily have a hard deadline (for registration) but ideally, with the event being Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, we'd have everything sorted out by Jan. 10 or so. Just so then we can get our schedule coordinated, built and communicated to all the teams."

"It's an honour," Vaillancourt said of being named to the second team roster. "It's awesome to be named an All-Canadian because it shows me that my hard work is being recognized."

The Cochrane Chaos are heading into the Christmas break with a 9-4-2 record, good for second in the south division.

The Cochrane Generals are back in the win column after a pair of close victories over the Stettler Lightning in Heritage Junior Hockey League (HJHL) action on Dec. 13 and 15.

The Cochrane Cobras handed out the hardware after taking home their sixth straight provincial championship on the gridiron.

“I would encourage anybody to volunteer. It gets you more involved and gives you a whole new perspective… you will get a lot less disgruntled about the little things.”

"It was a crazy, awesome experience," Smyke said. "I met so many cool people and I had so much fun with Team Canada. We were able to take home three medals overall and we placed sixth out of 15."
